Gracia, Grassillini, The Leather Genie at Work

 

Before I was your Leather Genie, I was Gracia Hemans, born in Kingston, Jamaica. Growing up as an extremely artistic and creative child, I was introduced to leather crafting at an early age. By age 14, I could make a leather shoe from scratch!

Before long, I became equally skilled at making handbags, belts and other items. I spent the next 25 years honing my talents and earning a living by making and selling products out of my home. But in 2002 when my family migrated to Connecticut, I had my eyes set on opening my own storefront. In 2006, I made that dream a reality. 

Since then, I have specialized in hand-making leather products. Each item is crafted with love and care from top quality leather and built to last. I are extremely pleased with the steady demand for pocketbooks, wallets, belts, motorcycle seats and more!

So whether you are itching for that custom-made gun holster or envisioning that leather bikini you’ve always wanted, let me, the leather Genie grant that wish!

This is the framework. Grassillini Ready made is my opportunity to put my designs in more hands. By creating multiples of some of my signature styles, I am able to keep an inventory of certain products to meet a consistent demand and also make the brand more accessible to wider audiences.
